I am in no way being judgemental or opening up a doctrinal debate. IT just sounds weird that people would quickly change their church affiliation, you know the place where they worship their Savior Jesus Christ, in order to make their child eligible for high school sports. I'm just saying that it sounds weird, not bad, not Satanic, not sacreligious, but just a little weird. It'd be like me saying "Dad even though our family has been going to the Catholic Church in Alexandria for four generations, if we just transfer our membership to the Catholic Church in Florence, then I could play freshman ball at St. Henry.

If your kid was going to go to St.Henry for high school and wanted to play for their freshsman team, instead of playing for a school they had NO intention of going to for high school, then no it doesn't sound funny.

Its not the point on where the kid wants to go to high school at. If the kid isnt in the feeder school to the high school he or she wants to attend then they should wait until freshman year to play sports there. END OF STORY . Its to keep all the high school coaches from recruiting out of schools they dont belong . If it wasnt for feeder schools kids would be getting asked to play high school sports earlier just to get them into there program and thats what this is really about isnt it ?

No one is recruiting, these kids are going to attend that high school anyway. St. Joe's is always a big feeder to NewCath, always has, always will be.

Brossart principal Dick Stewart mentioned to me today in passing that NCC students had raised and contributed $5,600 toward disaster relief for Brossart families afflicted by Friday's storms.

It's good to see this, and the series of "For the Cure" collaborations that our two schools do, despite the fact that we are bitter rivals on the field of play.

 

Hopefully, we will never have the opportunity to return the favor!

That is awesome. Great job in raising this amount of money in such a short period of time. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Brossart families affected by the storms as well as everyone else affected.

Thats really neat. Hope our Camel families did the same
