gold sunrise
There are several coaches across the state that I am sure is deserving. I will be a "Homie" and say GRC's Coach Hemphrey. He has taken a team with little to no experience and has them ranked #10 in the state and a 25-5 record with a very strong schedule. GRC is the suprise team in the state this year. GRC was ranked by the Cats Pause pre-season as the # 6 team in the region....now they are the team to beat in the 10th. Just amazing at the job he has done this year with this team. I, too, agree Humphrey is on a short list for coach of the year, but I think it has already been established Cats Pause was one man's incorrect opinion. Anybody who knew anything about the 10th knew that was not the case. Did anything think they would go 25-5, I sincerely doubt -- even Humphrey himself. So, based on that, yes he is as deserving as anyone. But, let's not keep pretending that one person who obviously never came to a JV game or saw anything else is our compass of how the region was going to end up. Qryche11
If SK can make a run and win the REgion and possibly win a game or two at State I think Steiner is in the running.

Rainman11
I agree with that. Me too. If you base it on one game, nobody would get the award -- unless you have an undefeated team.
