It's all good. I just wanted to make it clear that Hester has been at Boyle County for a long time and your post kind of read like he recently left Garrard County and that he should still be there.

I'm not sure...I think so. Garrard still had a pretty big line without him.

Had a brief chat with Coach Scenters recently about spring practice. He said that it was a "very productive" spring and that numbers are around 50. Factoring in spring sports, etc. that is a really solid number. He also stated that the team wasn't nearly as explosive as last season, which was to be expected when losing two 1700+ yard rushers, but that they should be much more powerful.

 

With an entire offensive/defensive line returning, a four year starter at quarterback, and a defensive unit that improved dramatically last season, I have every reason to believe it could be another banner autumn in Lancaster.

One of my favorite road trips in a long time was last season when we visited Garrard. I left the game with one of those "it's a shame either team had to lose" type of feelings. The Lions were explosive and fundamentally sound and just a heck of a lot of fun to watch. Hayes will leave a void, you just don't replace a kid like that, but they will still be very solid with all those returning starters. I hope we make it far enough in the playoffs and we get a rematch again in 2012, this time in Belfry.

Should not happen, Garrard does not have enough to get past Bourbon County in the district and region. Bourbon Co has everything coming back from team that lost by 1 point in OT to Garrard last year.

Bourbon County should be in the 3A state championship game with the talent they have returning. JMO

They should be very good. I thought going into last season that Garrard was the district favorite, but playing at Bourbon would be tough. This year, I think Bourbon could be the district favorite, but playing at Garrard should be tough.

 

Bottom line, these two teams should both be considered among the best in 3A next year.

I think you might be right on Breathitt. They just always seem to reload.

Garrard County had their annual media day on Friday. I'll try and post a few pictures. They currently have 53 players on the roster.

Ummm no! Not unless Breathitt and Belfry give up football this year. Bourbon may be good, may even make it to the finals...but to say the "Should be in the 3A SCG" with Blefry and Breathitt waiting is a little bit of an over reach.
