I did get a chuckle out of the Dixie fan that decided the best seats would be near midcourt across from the bench during the JV game. Rookie. 20 minutes before the varsity game all he could see was the foul line and below on one end. He was determined, though, to not let the Crazies move him out of his spot.

All 5 Dixie starters in double figures...strong.

Scary thing is that I didn't think they looked that great offensively tonight. I'd like to see the film to see if my memory is correct. It certainly wasn't Brandon Hatton's best performance.

I did see what I've been hoping to see with an aggressive Jordan Fox. That kid can dominate if he chooses to.

A couple of key points in the game:

CCH down 6 with the ball with about 30 seconds left in the 1st qtr. Coach tells the boys "last shot." CCH takes a shot from the corner with about 10 seconds left, misses, Dixie gets a break out , misses, gets rebound, Hattons scores to put them up 8. Poor decisions.

#2 CCH down 23-18. Fredrick shoots a 3 that goes in and out, Paul picks up his 2nd foul and goes to the bench, Dixie then gets a run going. CCH never recovered.

No one shot well from the perimeter ie 13 feet and beyond for CCH. Fred got it going late but they were down 15 or so at the time.

See my previous posts several weeks ago, the 4 guard and one center set for CCH would not be effective in games against teams like Holy Cross and Dixie. Tonight CCH looked best with Hayden and Bo Schuh in at the same time. But that set only lasted a few minutes before the guards re- populated the floor. I was really hopeful at the beginning of the season because CCH was playing a high speed transition game that gave them a chance to be competitive. But now they are simple to defend. They walk it up the court, try to force it down to Tobler and if thats available a guard launches up a three.
