No scoring for Mullins tonight. He's only scored two points in the past two games and sat the entire second half last Friday night.

What a sad state of affairs in Union.

I heard Mullins benched his seniors in the second half ... and it was senior night. Can anyone confirm that?

Im guessing Its gotta be tough coaching your own son in HS. Mullins is too Good of a player to throw in the towel at this point.

I do not have any details but the word going around Union is that Mullins is no longer on the team. What a disappointing season for the Raiders.

If true that Mullins is gone, than not good news for the Raiders. Struggling with only 5 wins this year!

Thank you. That was why I asked for confirmation. So we can put the senior night part of things to rest. As to benching the seniors, I seem to recall Mullins has already done that in a game earlier in the year so it wouldn't be the first time for that move. Coach Mullins is very intense and it doesn't seem to be working very well with this team, nor with his own son.

Monday night was senior night at Ryle. Ryle played Dixie.

The problems with this program have been building for years - anyone who has watched the dynamic between the coach and his son have seen it coming. It's sad for the players on that team that have been caught in the crossfire. It's equally apalling that the administration at Ryle has let it happen.

I have now been told that Mullins did bench his seniors in the second half on Senior Night but that game was on Monday night against Dixie.
