Your Top 3 Favorite Shows...

Featured Replies

I enjoyed the top 5 movie thread so I figured we could try this one out.

I don't mean most rewatchable or what shows you would watch if you could only watch 3 shows the rest of your life.

I mean what is the 3 shows you enjoyed the most and ones you would recommend to someone if they asked you for a suggestion. I'm talking writing/directing/acting/basically everything that goes into making a great show.

In no particular order I would go:

LOST

Breaking Bad

The Office

The Wire will probably be in there when I finish it. Coming in just outside the top 3 would be Southpark, Friday Night Lights,

Dexter (Seasons 5-6 really screwed this one up), Community, some others I can't remember off the top of my head.

Don't know if I can list just 3....

Criminal Minds

Dexter

24

Entourage

Weeds

Big Bang Theory

2. Seinfeld

3. South Park

The Wire (and I say this after only completing 2 seasons so far)

Seinfeld

Friday Night Lights

1. The Wire
I don't think I need anything else. I could honestly just list this three times and be ok with the list.

To have some variety I'll go with some categories before I get to my final three.

Drama (complete)

1. Six Feet Under

2. Sopranos

3. OZ

Drama (still airing)

1. Breaking Bad

2. Justified

3. Mad Men

Comedy (Animated)

1. South Park

2. The Simpsons

3. Animaniacs

Comedy (Live complete)

1. The Andy Griffith Show

2. Cheers

3. Seinfeld

Comedy (Live - still airing)

1. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

2. Louie

3. Wilfred

As I said above I could probably live with The Wire three times...but if you want me to list my three favorite TV shows it goes:

1. The Wire

2. The Andy Griffith Show

3. Jeopardy

Saved By The Bell...I don't enjoy it much anymore, but when I was growing up, I loved it, so it deserves some mention.

The Andy Griffith Show

24

Breaking Bad

Game of Thrones

Hell On Wheels

There's 5 off the top of my head that I really, really like(d).

This was an AWFUL oversight. I need to be drug to the town square and tarred/feathered. I rarely go a week without watching at least one episode.

If we're talking current shows:

1. The Walking Dead

2. Person of Interest

3. CSI

* I'm halfway through the first season of Justified. It could easily overtake a Grissom-less CSI

Current

Game of Thrones

Blue Bloods

Boardwalk Empire

Honorable Mention:

True Blood, Shameless, Person of Interest, Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls

Classic

MASH

Andy Griffith

Hill Street Blues

To many others to mention

Modern Family

Parenthood

Netflix

(That's right now and not counting sports)

Some that are off now but were good the last few years. Prison Break+Friday Night Lights.

I really want to see The Wire after reading so much on here about it.

Lost

Friday Night Lights

Boy Meets World

If you count mini-series, then definitely Band of Brothers

Survivor is my favorite that still on tv.
