^ I never watched Dexter, but some friends enjoy it. What did you dislike about it? I've thought about buying the seasons. You steered me right on Justified, so I'm curious what you think about this show.

It had TONS of promise and actually delivered one good season and one excellent season. However it tends to get quite complacent, repeats itself, and overall gets stale. Dexter likes to think it challenges itself but throughout the life of the series there has been very little character development or risks taken.

 

I feel many people flock towards Dexter because of the hip and cool premise. Unfortunately Dexter has more often than not fell short of delivering on this...

 

P.S. If you are looking for a good drama I'd highly recommend Homeland and Breaking Bad if you haven't seen them. Homeland has only went one season so watch it then settle in for the wild ride that is Breaking Bad.

 

All of this is moot if you haven't seen The Wire.
