Congrats to the Lady Bearcats on winning the title. This was one of those game you hated to see one team have to lose. Congrats to the Breds as well for a fine showing, however your not going to win many games shooting 21%. Both teams did a fine job representing NKY girls hoops.

Have to say that was the best $10 I've spent in a long time, as I stayed to watch the Boy's finals also.

Sure do hope these two get to play up on "the Hill" on Wed.

Congrats to the Lady Cats! Both teams played their hearts out and Walton ended up on the winning side. Good teams win close games and Walton has had their share of them all year. The "Cardiac Cats" just keeping winning and it doesn't matter how ugly it is. This team has accomplished something that no other team in Walton history has and you girl's should be proud of it and savor the moment. However, this year's mission is not accomplished. A district and regional repeat is still in the plans. Great job and good luck the rest of the season. A rematch is going to happen on the "Hill" on Wednesday. Oh, I loved the t-shirts! Wear them proudly!

Also, congrats to Sandlin (MVP), Taulbee, Ginn and Judy for making the All Tournament team. If anybody has the entire list, please post. Congrats to all the girls from the other schools. The All A Tournament is the best thing going for the All A schools.

All 341 photos of the game, free for the taking. Enjoy the victory Walton, well earned!

And for all the 9th Region teams, I have a whole new respect for Newport Central Catholic, they Rock!

Bring back Gary Grieser!

Congrats to Coach Clinkenbeard and his team. Great job in representing the 8th Region.

At some point people have to quit using the disrespectful comment over everything that is questionable. Some people had some shirts made and the girls put them on! Get over it! THey took a chance by having them printed up in advance, looks great if you win, you feel like an idiot if you lose. NO disrespect in putting them on, they are kids having fun!!!

Excellent post! Totally a non-issue. Congratulations to the Lady Bearcats on this great win!! Another step forward for WV athletics. :thumb:

Seems to me to be a nice advantage for teams like NCC and Walton to play in this type of atmosphere prior to the Regions and Sweet Sixteen. Both teams appeared to be under tremendous pressure throughout the game. Great experience for what is about to come in a month or so.
