January 26, 201214 yr If you stick your finger in my face I'll walk away also. Or we can fight. It's best to walk away at that point is it not? Yes, is that the order of events? Wouldn't you agree that it's best not to be petty and to discuss something actually important to the state before worrying about hurt feelings?
January 26, 201214 yr Yes, is that the order of events? Wouldn't you agree that it's best not to be petty and to discuss something actually important to the state before worrying about hurt feelings? Yes. Just like it is best to respect the position of POTUS.
January 26, 201214 yr So it's fine for Governors to openly disrespect the POTUS in public or is it because you don't like the ego? Is it OK for the POTUS to invite a congressman to a speech and then publicly rake him over the coals? Everyone is allowed a dissenting opinion and they are allowed to express it. This President certainly seems to have a thin skin.

Express dissenting opinions from the POTUS with a finger in his face in public? Forget the person. I am speaking strictly about the office of POTUS. Is that the proper way to greet the POTUS when the POTUS steps off the plane?

Is that the proper way to greet the POTUS when the POTUS steps off the plane? How do you know that this was as soon as Obama got off of the plane? What did Obama say to instigate it? I'm not willing to condemn an action without knowing the whole story and considering this President's history of sharp rhetoric against those that have had the audacity to disagree with him I have no trouble at all believing that he said something to elicit the response.

Unless it's Obama who looks bad.
January 26, 201214 yr There are a lot of if's here that shouldn't be discounted, but I would think it better to have a disagreement of this nature dealt with behind closed doors. Certainly not the way it seemed to go down here.

Did you read all three links? They all seemed to say the same thing with quotes from her. She approached him with a personal letter she wrote to him about their issues apparently. What was said after that is the unknown.
January 27, 201214 yr Gov Brewer is now saying she felt "a little bit threatened." A bit much but it plays well.
