Is it just me, or does Brewer actually look like she's the one giving Obama the what-for....not the other way around....in that pic?

 

That's the way I view it. She appears to be the aggressor. He very well may have said something slick to her but she has to compose herself better. I'd say a lot of words are exchanged by differing politicians at handshakes in public places.

Can't argue with her on this:

She also mentions that Bush and Reagan both did poor jobs when it comes to immigration yet her book is focused on the poor job she claims Obama is doing on immigration. She and Obama also have differing views on how she described her visit with Obama in the book as well. She even admits her book was one sided. I can see where his beef may lie but she still appears to be condescending one so far.

How would our opinions differ if this picture was reversed and Obama had his finger pointed at her?

 

 

To go further, if this were the other way around this would be a huge story on Fox News and Facebook politicians would be calling for his impeachment.

The letter was rudimentary, bureaucratic, and ordinary. “We are formally requesting that you authorize under the OPA [Oil Pollution Act] the distribution of commodities to disaster relief agencies and the state…. ” We had also sent out requests for federal assistance on fisheries failure and job assistance. In this instance, we were simply asking the federal government to authorize food stamps for those who were now unemployed because of the oil spill. Governors regularly make these sorts of requests to the federal government when facing a disaster.

 

But somehow, for some reason, President Obama had personalized this. And he was upset.

I have to say regardless of what she says in a book, everyone does and says things no one agrees with. The book about the Clintons by their former campaign chief about Hillary, the book by Emanual about Michelle Obama and the tension she creates in the white House. Everyone is entitled to write what they want. Being the POTUS only makes you a bigger topic. All kinds of things will be said. I think he must have said something smart alec to her to set her off like that thinking she will just take it.

I was thinking of the guy disrespecting the woman when I made the post. But this is a very fair point, like it or not.

She needs to have the composure to say something smart aleck back. We still don't know what or if he said anything to her initially. We can assume he did say something at some point and I am sure he did but we don't know who started it.

What does that have to do with the president being thin skinned and talking about a book when there's much larger problems he could try to talk about? He's been accused of this before and it just makes it look true. As you said, he's the POTUS. The office should be respected, by BOTH of them. Everyone in politics talks about the failings of each other. Obama is supposed to be above that and lead. Otherwise nothing will ever get done. Oh, wait a minute....

Yes, the finger pointing is a sign of disrespect. I like it much better when two politicians shake hands, smile, and talk bad about each other's ancestors through clenched teeth.

I would like to believe this is not a planned action. In fact the pool report shows it not to be.
