If you're talking the finger pointing, absolutely not. Nor does it excuse him walking away mid conversation.

I would like to believe this is not a planned action. In fact the pool report shows it not to be.

I don't like the image from the picture. I just don't feel good at all about her finger being in his face. At all. It looks she is talking down to him.

What does that have to do with the president being thin skinned and talking about a book when there's much larger problems he could try to talk about? He's been accused of this before and it just makes it look true. As you said, he's the POTUS. The office should be respected, by BOTH of them. Everyone in politics talks about the failings of each other. Obama is supposed to be above that and lead. Otherwise nothing will ever get done. Oh, wait a minute....

 

And like I said, regardless of where they stand on issues the office of POTUS deserves more respect than what this picture shows. This is the image that is now being sent out worldwide. Sure makes the office POTUS look good doesn't it?

Times have changed. Respect is a much lower bar . We call the President of the United States by his last name or a derogatory nickname ie "Georgie" and if "our side" is the one challenged disrespectful actions are OK.

Wouldnt it have been funny if when he turned and walked away, Gov. Brewer jumped on his back and put him in a sleeper hold.

I am not sure...there is a pool report out there...with the quote I had. I do know from experience that still pictures are often more flagrant that the actual event. Remember Obama 'checking out the French PM wife' still photo. That looked real bad. But the video showed it to very benign. You know my work. If they called holding every time I thought a still picture showed it HS football games would be 6 hours long.

 

The photo makes it look like she is giving him a lecture - and does look bad - but it may have been fleeting thing that a photographer just happened to capture - so far only one picture has shown up. From experience - pictures or at least a single picture can lie about a situation.

This is something that has irked me for a long time...It's why I've tried to always refer to Barack Obama as President Obama on here.

 

It's also a big thing I noticed about Mitt Romney. He always refers to the President as "President Obama", while the other candidates refer to him simply as "Obama" from time to time.
