January 23, 201214 yr Get a room... Listen just because no one wants to apply at your place of employment...... I kid I kid
January 23, 201214 yr This is nonsense....Brady wants to be the greatest ever. When he wins in 2 weeks and grabs #4, he's going to be on a mission to win #5 for the record. He won't retire for at least 4-5 more seasons unless he wins #5, and even then, he probably won't.

I'm in no way a Patriots fan so I can't pretend like I know what he's thinking just going on my gut. However with what you said I could see him wanting 6 to make it unreachable and to make it A LOT harder for people to say he was just a product of the system, especially given how many times the sytem has changed since he's been there.

Good point.
January 23, 201214 yr Probably should close this thread, pure nonsense. Haha based on what. C'mon SV just give us a good version of your point of view.
January 23, 201214 yr Haha based on what. C'mon SV just give us a good version of your point of view. The thread was meant for discussion on if we think Brady is going to retire at the end of the year, that's like asking if tomorrow is going to come. But for the sake of argument, there is no way Brady retires. He is very competitive and will go after every record that he can. If he wins, it will just be another notch on his HOF belt.

So you think he's one of those guys that retires after he should have or well after his replacement has arrived?
January 23, 201214 yr So you think he's one of those guys that retires after he should have or well after his replacement has arrived? I think he will retire before he spirals out of control. It make take a subpar season. But I don't see it being a situation like Favre. I think he signs one more contract with the Patriots and he will play it out then retire.
January 23, 201214 yr How many quarterbacks have retired when they were dominating the league? I can't think of any. It's one thing to retire "early" if you're a running back or play a position that requires you to get hit on every play. Quarterbacks are very well protected in the NFL.

I think he signs one more contract with the Patriots and he will play it out then retire. I agree and that is why I think it is silly to think he could retire after this year. The guy can still play at a high level, and no reason to retire until his play declines. Shoot even Favre had every reason to come back, he still played really well 2 out of his last 3 years. He had a horrible year his last year and then he walked about. IMO you play until your skills don't let you play to a level where your not as successful.

January 23, 201214 yr They brought back Josh McDaniels though didn't they? With him back they won't skip a beat will they? I thought he was going to Penn St. as well or did I just imagine that?
