UK 2011-2012 who leaves for the NBA?

Featured Replies

He's not the scorer that Williams is IMO. Lamb is going to have a tough time in the league no matter when he leaves unless he just goes to the perfect roster.

May not be, I'm just saying he's going to end up being that "type" of player. Mo Williams is another that comes to mind, not saying as good as Mo, but that "type" of player. That guy thats going to be able to come in and score the ball and be able to play a little point if forced to.

Again, if Jodie Meeks can make it in the league, Lamb can make it in the league.

Jodie was also a 20 PPG scorer in college and is bigger. Lamb is a tweener that would get destroyed by NBA PGs, and I don't think he could guard NBA 2s either. Either Williams can create their own shot, and I don't see DoRo being able to do that at the next level because he cannot consistently do it in college. I hope I'm wrong, but I think he's going to have a tough time.

Davis & MKG are gone. Doron Lamb needs to speak with Tony Delk and Patrick Patterson needs to give Jones a call. Another year in college will do both good.

NBA.net has Davis, MKG, Jones, Teague, Lamb going in the 1st round. With Miller being the last pick of the 2nd round. 6 players rated in the top 60 in the country. That is impressive. 2012-13 doesn't look real great. Harrow, Wiltjer, Beckham, Hood, Polson, and Freshman. UK will need about 2 more commitments if all 5 go pro. What I think, Davis ready, all others not really but money is there.

You don't think Gilchrist is ready?

I've said all along that I thought Miller would play well and get himself drafted mid-2nd round at worst, but I'm slowly beginning to think that prediction might not come true. He needs to absolutely take over a game some time soon.

His framework, defense, strength, good shoot from outside and his ability to use his body in the post, he could do well in the NBA. Just frurstrates me that he defers to the freshmen to much.

I think all five are gone. Six if you count Vargas who graduates with Miller.

I think Davis and MKG have to go. I think Jones will go, ready or not. Lamb is a toss up IMO. With the draft class being as loaded as it is, I see him coming back for one more year. No chance Teague goes unless he shows vast improvement IMO.

If two of the 5 underclassmen come back next year, watch out. They'll be filthy good again.

I don't think his offense is there yet. He is a good player. If he starts making more jump shots then I would say he is ready. He isn't a great shooter. He hustles to get a lot of his scores and rebounds. I'm sure he would do okay but may struggle at first because of NBA physical play.

You dont' really need much of a jump shot (which I hate) to make it in the NBA if you hustle, drive the ball hard, play solid D, and rebound.

MKG will get to the foul line a ton in the league. That can make up for a lack of a jumpshot. He's a typical young wing prospect for the NBA draft. Almost all of the really good one's lately have had to add a jumpshot. Guys that are great shooters at this stage seem to be guys with limited athletic ability for the NBA level, like Eric Gordon. Gordon is a stud but his ceiling isn't as high as I would think MKG's would be. For as good a shooter as Durant is now, even he had alot to work on as a rookie. At worst I think MKG will end up a guy on a similar tier of guys like Josh Smith or Rudy Gay. JMO

Davis & MKG are lottery locks of course.

Jones goes as long as he is first rounder.

Lamb & Teague come back for another year.

Jones and Davis are the most ready. Kidd-Gilchrist probably will, but he's not ready from the standpoint of needing to develop a go-to move. The rest are unready.

I've seen where some are talking MKG possibly #1 overall. I don't see him passing Davis, but for the life of me I don't know how you take Perry Jones or Sullinger over him. I could see where some would prefer Barnes, but I wouldn't. IMO Davis and MKG will easily be the two best pros in this draft.

Going to be a loaded draft.
