This isn't right. A Grayshirt is someone that is told they're wanted by a school but there's not enough room in THIS year's incoming class for them to start in the fall. So they WAIT and enroll the following January. Some pay their own way the first semester of that college freshman year and are technically 'walk-ons' in fall camp; others completely sit out that first fall semester or go to a community college to gain some hours.

That is the route that Corey Robinson, the Lone Oak product that was Mr. Football at Lone Oak in 2007, took to Troy.

Kudos to Coach Rash and the Beechwood program, especially at 1A, for having three kids sign and move on to the next level. One player who I thought would have been mentioned and has not (at least I have not seen anything) is Beechwood's kicker, Joey Nussbaum. Does anyone know his status?

Barbour isn't listed as one of Navy's recruits on Rivals. It also was reported above that Meade County's Thomas Wilson had signed with Navy but he isn't listed either. Walton Verona's Quincy Page was also reported as a Navy recruit but he isn't on their Rivals committment list of 26 players either. Maybe they haven't updated the site yet.

 

However, there is a player listed from Kentucky that I don't believe anyone has reported:

QB at Male, I believe.

Safety was his main position, and moved to QB later during the season. Male for all three kids I mentioned.
