January 9, 201214 yr Was first aware of him in his Providence days. Were you alive then? He coached at Providence after coaching with the Knicks and prior to that Boston University. I know writing is your thing but come on the math on that one isn't that difficult.
January 9, 201214 yr Ricky P. justs keeps falling farther and farther into the abyss! He needs to retire and spend more time with his wife.
January 9, 201214 yr He coached at Providence after coaching with the Knicks and prior to that Boston University. I know writing is your thing but come on the math on that one isn't that difficult. Were you alive in 1985? 1987???
January 9, 201214 yr Please don't sandbag for me, UK fan. I can spot a turd when I see it. I didn't come to this opinion of the Louisville program this year. Not sandbagging at all. To say that Louisville is deprived of talent simply isn't true. Sure they don't have 1996 Kentucky talent, but who does anymore?
January 9, 201214 yr Not sandbagging at all. To say that Louisville is deprived of talent simply isn't true. Sure they don't have 1996 Kentucky talent, but who does anymore? Current UK is about as close as it gets, and Louisville doesn't come within a distant sniff of that. Regardless, Pitino has slipped, and dramatically, and if the talent's not there, Ricky's got nothing in his arsenal. Cardinal fans have been sold a bill of goods, and frankly, with his atrociously bad coaching, he's not worth the embarrassment he brings along with all his baggage. Please go away, Rick. Now.
January 9, 201214 yr You're wrong obviously. Why do you say so? None of the guys I mentioned recruited at anywhere near the level of Pitino or Calipari during their respective UK days. Logic says it has to do with the coach and not the name on the front of the jersey.
January 9, 201214 yr He coached at Providence after coaching with the Knicks and prior to that Boston University. I know writing is your thing but come on the math on that one isn't that difficult. Pitino coached Providence to the Final Four in '87 (thanks to an incredibly hot run of shooting by Billy Donovan and Delray Brooks). Then, he left to coach the Knicks for two years before coming to UK. Do your math.
January 9, 201214 yr Frustrating loss, but it happens. I think when March gets here, the team will be playing better.
