The key to this game is opening up the offense. The Bengals need to stretch the field and put this one in Dalton's hands. Their running game stinks. Open things up; put some passing plays not seen much this year into the game plan; take some shots at the long ball with Green and Simpson. Run a couple long patterns for Gresham and see if you can hit a big play with him. I also would get more carries for Scott into the game plan. I would go 50/50 on the playing time between Scott/Benson early and let's see who is making plays. Open it up, get on top, and then you can go back to running the ball more if you want to control the game tempo.

 

Totally agree. It seems like taking the chances down-field have gone away. Green has been a non factor the last two games.

 

I completely agree with both of you. It seems like Dalton and the offense has been at it's best when the Bengals are down a few scores and have to open up the passing game and take chances. The offenses always seems to do better once they get into that mode, and honestly even better when they go no huddle.

Enjoy the final week of excitement. You have approximately 5 days left and then Mike Brown starts another year of sucking the mesmerized fans back in with his genius draft picks aquired in the CP trade. They guy is a mastermind at preying on the weakminded desperate Bengal fan.

They are weak minded because they think the future looks bright, considering the Bengals are a playoff team with the youngest roser in the AFC and has a lot of draft picks coming too? Owen Daniels is the least of the Bengals worries. Contain the passing game -- contain Foster's receptions, contain Andre, keep pressure on Yates/Delhomme. Game over if they can do those 3 things, IMO.

I think more than anything is that its important for the offense for the Bengals to get off to a quick start, and just attack. They can't be having three and outs, they have to convert third and shorts. The Bengals need around 24 points for this game, if they do that then they win IMO.

He was the one that was on Pitta for a couple of his big catches as well as the one called for the PI against him Sunday. I figured he would be covering Daniels on passing downs like he did Pitta.

If they do that they're ignorant. Putting one of your starting CBs on a TE is ridiculous. Of course, with that being the case, I fully expect the Bengals to do it Saturday now. :lol:

There's a big difference between Pitta and Gronk. Obviously you're going to play your top cover guy on the opposition's top receiving threat. Pitta and Daniels are not that.
