* If you can't make it down to these games you can listen live on HC Internet Radio. We are covering the boys game for sure. Still undecided if we will carry the girls game at 6:00. More details to follow later on in week.

Is the above bolded statement contingent on me and my MiFi being there? If so, I won't know until later in the week if I will be at the girls' game or not.

I have not seen either team play, but from what I've learned about the Indians on Holy Cross Internet radio from Terry Niehaus and Gary Bamberger, the bulldogs are in trouble. I'm going with Holy Cross by 5.

The Indians will put their 12-game winning streak on the line on Friday against the dogs. Should be a very entertaining game. It has been a while since HC has beaten Holmes. I think the Indians make it lucky 13 in a row and win 82-72.

Was the 2003/2004 season the last time HC beat Holmes? I believe it was in the district tourney and HC took advantage of Lexie Brown breaking his leg early in the game.

2003/04 I believe is correct. Holmes beat HC in regular season that year but lost 46-43 in the disctrict game that was played at Cov Cath.

Dan Trame was head coach of Holy Cross that year if I'm not mistaken.

The last time the Indians won the City Championship was in the 2006-07 season at Holmes 49-44 in OT. Some will point out that Holmes had a few players suspended for that game, but a win is a win in my book. Still doing research on the last time before that in the regular season.

Last time in the regular season before that was 1/2/02 @ Holy Cross 67-57 was the score according to the KHSAA website.

Last time Holy Cross beat Holmes was in 06-07 when half of Holmes team was out due to suspension. Holmes JV team and Austin Hill took HC to overtime. The last time before that was in 03-04 when Lexie Brown was out with a torn ACL, and Holy Cross won by three or so. Holy Cross hasn't beaten a Holmes team at full strength in ten years or so. The talent disparity most of those years wasn't even close though. Holy Cross probably has there best shot to take back the city tonight than they have had in a long time.

In both of those years Holmes came back and beat Holy Cross in the first Round of the district .

It was the 2003/2004 season, but it actually was in the District tourney. I remember this game vividly as it was the last time the Indians have made it to the Regional tourney. HC moved on to the Regionals and lost to Dixie 33-32.
