Looks like the rematch is tonight. I am going to go out on a loop and say Southwestern takes this one handily.

It is at the Riverside Prep Showcase at Riverside Christian if I am not mistaken.

Riverside is 0-24. One of their closest games was a 62-41 loss to Rose Hill. They also had another close one against Monticello in which they fell 48-24. They recently scored a season high 68 points in an 87-68 rematch loss against Red Bird. Red Bird won the first matchup 99-32. The 19 point loss is their smallest margin of defeat this season.

The little school I graduated from played them twice a year....usually these were the only games we would win. Remember they had a concrete floor...wonder if they still play on it? Their gym, looked like a metal airplane hanger.

In Riverside's defense for these kind of games: What choice do they really have if they want to play and they must it seems. With consolidation there are only so many Red Birds and Rose Hills out there and those type of teams are the only ones they are going to stay somewhat in the game with. If the kids are happy, play on.

I agree. I don't have a problem with the lopsided scores found on their schedule.

Southwestern plays Leslie Co, not Riverside Christian. There are several games being played.

Riverside Christian is one of the most respected schools in Breathitt County....James Turner is the coach and he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.....he knew what he was doing when he made his schedule....let he and his kids play whoever they want to play.....the Jesus Freaks comment was totally uncalled for, how about a little respect for this school and his program.....Jesus Freaks could have been said in a much classier way!!

Nice post nikeman 49, great kids and people at Riverside from what I have had the pleasure to see. People over there should be very proud of them.

Thanks for clarification. I went to my KHSAA app to see how many games Southwestern has won in a row(4) and saw this game scheduled. I thought it was odd but I figured if it is on the KHSAA scoreboard app then it must be right.

No problem, sometimes that score board can be confusing.

I wouldn't have posted the score though. Not a Southwestern fan so I'd only post their score if it was against Pulaski County, Russell County, Boyle County or some one from the 12th region and no one had posted it yet.

No one is disputing the fact that SW kids had to play. Imo the issue is at what point do you call of the dogs off? I mean c'mon man, you can't think beating middle school Jesus Freaks by 88 points is the right thing to do do you? Have some mercy on the little fellas. Why would you allow this to happen as a fan.
