Pioneers sweep all 3 games. Varsity game was a complete laugher. Looks like SK should sweep the district. Nice how WV puts there band on the visitors side. Sk should return the favor at home but they won't. Who predicted WV would win by !0? :popcorn: LOL

I hope they can fix it but it looked like chemistry problems could bring them down fast.

I think the band always sits on the west side of the visitors section.

Not me. I said SK by 12 and that was the largest spread of anyone!

Walton was out of sink...to say the least. Not so sure sk will "sweep" the district. This will end up being close. Why didn't sampson play?

For those that have watched WV this year where is the breakdown starting? What's not working?

Out sync and they did not defend the perimeter well either.

WV had the personnel but can't put it together...yet.

No Offensive flow, way too much dribbling, no ball movement, alot of forced shots. Playing 12 players running players in and out of game 2 minutes at a time, taking some players out at each mistake, not allowing them to play thru them and gain confidence while allowing others to continually pound the ball in the floor and force shots. Definately no chemistry, playing so many players with many times 3 or more players on floor who can only score on offensive boards. Have to somehow learn to move the ball, pass the ball faster up the floor instead of dribbling. Kind of a catch 22, the players who can score are soft and players who play tough have no shot making ability. Too much talent to play this way, hopefully extra time on court over break will help this team.

Thought at the beginning of the year they were really supposed to be good. That team I watched tonight was a trainwreck. Unusual for a Trame coached team. They obviously have some decent talent. To Neerfan's statement, I thought the band was always next to there student section to make one big pep-section, between that and the number of WV fans sitting on the visitors side didn't care much for it. I realize we have our fans sit behind the bench when we play at home. Those fans don't get rowdy, kinda want to stretch out just watch the game. If the game was REMOTELY close having WV's band sitting next to SK's cheer section(mostly footballers) could have turned ugly in a hurry.Heaven forbid

Did Kinmon play? Could so many new/returning players be a contributor to the chemistry problems?

The band was in the same place that they are always in. As far as the game goes.....congrats to SK. They won the game. They played harder than WV did, out rebounded WV, made more three's and out coached WV tonight. WV didn't guard anyone, they cannot play through contact and they play scared. It's pretty embarrassing they way they are playing. They play like they are too worried about making mistakes instead of just playing the game of basketball.

 

On a side note.....there was a really good crowd at the game tonight. Both sides were full. 99.9% of the SK's fans were great, including their pep section, however they may have the worst fan in the history of high school basketball. The guy in the orange shirt sitting in the middle of the visitors section.....was a complete bafoon. It was amazing the way he acted.

 

Congrats to SK on a well played game. WV certainly needs to get things turned around. There are still plenty of games left to be played.

Kinmon did play but not near enough in my opinion. What he brings to the game is a hard nose work ethic that WV does not have right now.
