December 13, 201114 yr Do they have to be read in a certain order? If not, is one of them considered the best? I've never even seen any of the movies. Not really stuff I enjoy, but I am willing to crack open one of the books and see if I might like it. They certainly build on each other and the plots are woven together. My first reaction is to tell you that they ought to be read in order, but someone more familiar with them might be better suited to answer this.

December 13, 201114 yr First, PepRock is the archnerd...but it works for him. Second, to answer the question, I've never read Harry Potter. Not that I wouldn't, just so much other material to read first. AND, I love "magic, sorcery" etc. Must say, though, I'm most fascinated by Paganism and Druidism, than mere "magic and sorcery".
March 8, 201214 yr I just finished reading the 4th one. I like watching the movies afterward to see how they portray it. Am I wrong here, or was the movie portrayal of Voldemort kind of weaksauce?
