Quarterbacks at Highlands

I hear that there is an incoming Frosh (Red devil) that will challenge for the starting varsity spot by the time he is a soph. Big strong kid who can already throw the ball 50+ yards accurately.

And who did you hear this from? We heard the same thing last year and unfortunately that kid was injured and unable to participate in football, but had been moved to tight end before the injury. One word for this statement is "WOW"

From what I saw, Beau did a fine job with the frosh team this past season, but I would be very, very surprised to see him pass Drew on the depth chart. Best of luck to both kids.

If I were Beau I'd be learning how to backpedal.

Just to throw this out there, he lives in Ft Thomas, grew up in Ft Thomas, parents both went to HHS, and he is at HMS student now.

Did his Daddy wear 34?

Who would that be? Austin Hergott?

Howard Feggins pedigree: New England Patriots 1988 & 1989, New York Giants 1990, a little World Football League and Canadian Football League. Since then coaching for various Colleges.

It should be interesting off season. Winter workouts and Spring football should help determine who quarterback will be. These are still growing boys. You just don't know when certain kids will go thru growth spurts.

Only time will tell. I only know what I've heard from a pretty reliable source and the source said this kid is going to be very very good. Depending on how the QB situation shapes up next year (2012), the young man may have a legitimate shot to challenge for starting role as a Soph.
