Final.

Holmes closes game on 11-0 run and has 3 treys go in and out that would have sent game to OT.

Good game by both teams.

Costly turnover by Dogs with 19.2 really hurt their chances at getting a good last shot.

Brossart was playing without their starting point guard, so they must have done a good job filling in for him dealing with the pressure for the most part. Sounds like Saunders may have been the best player on the court... Nice to see Joe step up, if he ends up being a consistently dangerous post presence, Brossart will be extremely dangerous...

Holmes didn't really press until late in the game...which is when Holmes got the turnovers and went on the run. Brossart did a nice job clearing out to prevent Holmes from getting in a true press. Also used nice ball movement and back cuts on offense.

I don't know if Saunders was best player on court but he was tough tonight. He and Jennings were difference for BB. Really like the Trentman boys as well. Brossart will be tough in 10th. They have nice size and had a great gameplan tonight.

Disappointed Holmes lost because of the way they played first 3 quarters but loved the effort when they got down 14 late in the game.

Holmes is going to struggle if they get taken out of their game. Brossart is a tough place to play as well.

They didn't shoot very well. When Holmes started attacking the rim, BB had no answer. Problem was they didn't score enough to set up their pressure until late in the game. This isn't a very good shooting team but to their credit, they hit them when they need to step up.

Holmes is still a work in progress. I'm confident they'll be in the running come Feb. Coston played extremely well for the Dogs tonight. Will have numbers for them in a few.

Wow, big win for the Stangs.

Agree. Congrats on the win!!

Good win for the Mustangs. Holmes kids play hard until the buzzer and carry themselves with class. Good luck to the Mustangs and Bulldogs.

Yep, hard to set up the press if you cant score. I know they will be right in the thick of things, they always have the athletes.

Mustangs are tough. They have size, shoot well, and and play tough defense. Holmes will be tough as well. I agree they are not a great shooting team and have to play to rim to be effective, but quickness on defense makes up for that.

Brossarts starting point guard did not play in tonight.

I think we get the point its been mentioned 3 times. Stangs didnt seem to miss a beat. Fardo/Saunders are strong handlers and it helps having some bigs to throw to over the press.

Congrats to the Mustangs. As most everyone thought, they look to be a big factor in the 10th.

Congrats to the 'stangs. Holmes tends to wear teams down, but you cannot keep getting behind by double digits and keep expecting to pull it out in th eend. It

sounds like BB had the horses and ball handlers to keep the Bulldogs at bay. I stiil say this is not a top 5 team yet. They will get better, the coaching is there.

BB will probably get better also. Size and good ball handling will be difficult for the Bulldogs.
