Freedom of speech. I struggle to see what the issue was here.

Exactly what I am talking about, thanks for helping ruin our values and culture over free speech like that. Maybe someone should string you up and claim free speech.

^Are you trying to say I should be crucified?

What values or culture were ruined? They were making a point that the true meaning of Christmas has been forgotten, and that it's become more about "Santa Claus" than Jesus Christ. They were basically saying that with the way Christmas has been commericalized it might as well have been Santa who was crucified.

If this guy wanted to put that up in his own yard, then I'd have to say he has the right to do so.

On the courthouse lawn? I am surprised the leaders approved it.

I would think there are more important issues to tend to than this.

I definitely get the point that the "artist" was trying to create, and I agree with it to an extent.

However, when atheists are the first to come to your defense, are you really helping the Christian cause?

I would imagine that under the current policies they had in place, they didn't have a choice unless they wanted some sort of lawsuit on their hands.

^Yeah, they are in a Catch 22, but I am still surprised they allowed that particular display.

THAT certainly promotes our values and culture. Nice Christian spirit there ref.

Your welcome, I apparently do not promote your cultures or values. If so then this would not have been allowed in the first place. Sure who dont know Santa comes first to most over the true meaning. I am sure church attendance will be down on Christmas day too since it is on a Sunday. I hope I am able to be at church that day.

I wonder if the so called leaders would allow a crucifixon of Jesus to be on the lawn, I say not.

This guy calls himself an artist? My 4-year old could construct a better looking display than this piece of crap.

I think I'll stack up three bags of garbage in my yard and call it art.

It's been called tolerance before.

I have no idea what culture or values you promote and I doubt that Jesus would recognize it either. Check that, it might look pretty familiar to him.

I guess so. In Spain in 1500 it might have passed for it.
