Maty Mauk of Kenton, OH whose heading to Mizzo

Featured Replies

I wasn't exactly sure where to put this, but have any of you heard of this kid? His brother is Ben Mauk, who won two state titles at Kenton High in Ohio in 2002 & 2003, who won Mr. Football his senior year. He also set all the national records in completions, yards, and passing touchdowns. His brother then went on to Wake Forest, and finished his college career after injury at UC.

His brother is a senior now at Kenton. He's already broken all his brother's records on the national level, as well as lead his conference in rushing this year. I had the pleasure of watching him play Saturday night against a team from Columbus in the Regional Finals. This kid is tough as nails and I loved watching him play. He is such a threat to pass, as well as won and pretty much single handily put his team on his back. I look forward to watching him in the SEC in the future as he is to Mizzo.

He sure was fun to watch...

It's all pretty impressive, but if you were only going to watch one play, skip forward to the 1:40 mark.

And now Maty Mauk is named Mr. Football in Ohio. I'm telling you guys, this kid is a stud. I wish he played around here because you all would be totally raving about this young man. He will be playing in the Division IV state championship Saturday.

His numbers this year 316-447 passes (69 percent) for 4,487 yards and 58 TD's, with only 10 interceptions. That doesn't even include all the damage that he's done on the ground!

His has the national records for passing yards (18,006), attemptions (2,001), completions (1,287) and touchdowns (209). Once again, doesn't include his rushing numbers.

Only time brothers have ever won the award in OH.

Also Gatoraide Player of the Year in Ohio on espn.com today. JD

I wonder if alcohol was involved:rolleyes:.

Seriously though that story is hilarious, police tried to stop him, he fled on a scooter which they later found abandoned. Then he turns himself in the next morning, I mean really.

This is pretty surprising to me. I am going to have to give Grandpa a call later and see what he can dig up for me.

There is a video online of Mauk snorting what appears to be cocaine.

Are you sure it's not bath salts? That stuff was legal until recently. Maybe he's just not up on the current laws.

No idea. Could be. Speculation is its cocaine but...regardless it doesn't look good for him.

I was just kidding around. But yes, it does look bad on him no matter what way you look at it.

Mizzu has suspended Mauk indefinitely.

Some guys are their own worst enemy.

Looks like he missed the line in the video. Could have been a prank also bit still poor judgment and looks awful for him.

They have a better QB on the bench, good luck Maty hope you find help.

If it's a prank, it's probably the dumbest prank ever.

If it's real, he needs a new set of friends. Friends don't film friends snorting cocaine.
