I'm not. I want him to get his just reward in prison. How ever long he survives there will be hell on Earth...and he deserves it.

Prison is not the place for someone like this...some of these liberal judges will eventually let them out, "because the prisons are over-crowded or for their own safety." Makes me sick!! If anyone should get the death penalty this guy and all like him should. He should die in the electric chair or by public hanging(which I know is not legal anymore, but should be).

 

No, he should be thrown in general population. The guy is in his late 60's. He'll only survive 10 years in prison if he's kept away from the general population. He'll survive less if he has to deal with the stress of the general population.

I've been thinking about something. Between everything that has come out about Sandusky and the others, especially considering the positions they held and not being truthful, what could happen to the program after all investigations are done? I know that many things have gotten a lot more lenient than they used to be about various violations and that almost no one ever believed we would see the death penalty after what happened at SMU. However, after considering many of the circumstances involved with this matter and the nature of what all has been involved, could the death penalty or something very similar in nature happen with consideration to the seriousness and harshness of what took place? I believe that very harsh consequences could be on the way, which I wouldn't feel bad at all about with what all took place.

 

What are other thoughts on this?

 

I don't see the death penalty, b/c you can separate the criminal acts from anything affecting the balance of sportsmanship and competition (as in the SMU case.) I believe that the NCAA will be ok w/ the fact that 2 of the characters will go to jail for perjury, in the least, conspiracy at the worst. Then Joe Pa will forever be smeared and made to leave. Further, the University is going to have to fight multi-million dollar law suits. I mean Sandusky is accused of over 40 acts. It's only a matter of time before more come forward. I think that that the NCAA will allow the judicial system to handle this one.

I hope he does. It will make him an even bigger fraud than he is now.

 

Why is the grad assistant getting a pass here? He is still onthe PSU staff according to what I read. Everyone with any knowledge of this should be fired immediately and any charges that can be filed should be filed.

This is the most disturbing thing I've ever read about athletically. This guy admitted in 1998 to a crime and the DA dropped the case. PSU knew about it then and allowed kids to be raped in their buildings. This is sick.

Mike and Mike had a local Penn St reporter said there are reports that Sandusky had a kid at practice in 2007. Now if you are Joe Pa or McQueary how do you see that and continue to keep your mouth shut.

While all of the Penn State officials involved in this affair disgust me, I think I may be most disgusted with McQueary. He may have been a grad assistant when he witnessed Sandusky sodomizing a 10 year kid, but he was 28 years old and a good-sized man, to boot. Far bigger and stronger than Sandusky. So what does he do? Turns away and leaves. Anyone else here in this forum think they would have reacted the same way? A 10 year old kid! And he walked away. Granted he told Paterno about the incident, but if we are to believe Paterno's story (I don't), McQueary didn't even tell Joe the specific details of what he saw, only vague generalizations about seeing something "inappropriate". And then this full grown adult fails to follow up with anyone to see what actions have been taken or whether the young child was identified and was okay. Nothing more. Saw a rape of a child, turned away, mentioned "something" to Paterno, and then washed his hands of the incident despite apparently seeing Sandusky on PSU property with another young child years later. Solid citizenship right there, Mr. McQueary, you worthless, spineless piece of trash.

Maybe so, but he'll still get a lengthy prison sentence. And he'll probably have to be segregated in prison, as even criminals have a certain honor code. Sandusky would most assuredly not be safe in the general prison population. Which is fine by me.

No way school policy is that you simply inform someone above you in the chain of command when a crime is committed. They may be the first notified but not the only one. The police MUST be called. That alone should lead to everyone's termination.

Penn State to the State Penn, guys in the prisons frown on people who prey on Children. here you have boys who love football and trusting a coach who wants to do this....It just messes up our whole life being fair system for these boys.

PA Offical just said, "To have eyewitness's to these acts in the shower with young boys and no one contacted the police just doesn't make sense". "I have never heard of such goings on, ever".

 

They just showed a reporter talking to the coach on his porch, that surprised me, he said "I cannot coment."

New York Times is saying Joe Pa is gonna be gone soon...This case is not about Football.
