All Tell, wanting us to win against Meade and X so you can shut us out for the third straight time. No where on this site have I said anything close to this kind of Statement, hoping a team loses so they can "shut us out." In the past years I have pick the Rocks to lose as a Joke, and the Rock fans always knew this. I never picked the Male/Trinity games.

 

I respect the private schools and I don't want any kid who wants to go there not get in. Your statement, well thats ok I'd never say something so harsh about another high school team. I've even stated many times how I pull for the Rocks when playing out of state teams, and still will do so. Thats the way I was raised, to show class.

This does not mention an alumnus of said private school getting a money order to cover the tuition payments for an athlete and handing what is in essence cash money off to the parents at the game. As far as the KHSAA is concerned there is no scholarship and they refuse to investigate it but this is how "needs based scholarships" are covered on Shelbyville Rd. It is completely illegal, that's not to mention the illegal personal contact of potential athletes in the 8th grade to offer them this great deal. Or the letters sent to 8th graders from said alumnus offering "diversity scholarships" or "leadership scholarships" to potential athletes before the family has made contact with the school or the child has been accepted to the school, also completely illegal. This has all been going on for 2 or 3 decades at minimum and since it is not an official coach but a "friend of the program" the KHSAA turns a blind eye.

 

So you're alleging that all of these things are going on, and the KHSAA has been fully aware for "2 or 3 decades at minimum", and the KHSAA does nothing? Might I ask why you haven't done anything to try to rectify the situation? I'm sure there are hundreds of attorneys in Kentucky who would LOVE to get into a high profile case and bust the KHSAA's "decades long" scheme. Why haven't you asked any of the Jefferson County schools that you support to look into filing some kind of suit? Are the are the private schools writing money orders out to the court system too?

Good. Then quit adding to the problem by making allegations on message boards about schools cheating, where nothing can be done to investigate the allegations and sanction the offending school. I've seen so many absolutely false statements about transfers and other KHSAA rule violations posted on here by adults that it makes me sick. Unfortunately other posters believe as gospel what is posted on here and the false statements take on a life of of their own. I've had people approach me insisting that such and such school violated a rule. I asked them how they knew it. 99% of the time it was because they were told it by someone else or they read it on a message board. Because I was involved, I knew the allegation was false and told them so. But they kept on believing it because they wanted to believe it. If you do not have first hand knowledge of a violation, don't be an old wash woman repeating gossip by posting rumors on message boards. That causes harm to high school athletics because people believe what they read on here and regardless of the fact that the gossip is wrong, people believe it. If you have first hand knowledge of a violation, report it to the KHSAA where something can and will be done about it. I don't run this site, Rob does. But if I had my way, Rule No. 1 would be that any post involving any allegation of a KHSAA violation would result in an immediate suspension, with no warnings. This is not the place to address such matters.

So split 12 private schools away into their mini-mini-class because Jefferson County has fouled up their school system so badly that it has hopelessly weakened the 6A teams? What a solution...

 

No disrespect intended for state-wide 6As. But the historical fact is that Jefferson County public schools when there were large, and especially Male, were always the constant challengers to the Big Green Monsters. Jefferson County teams have won the highest level class in 46 out of 52 years. With Jefferson being down and Male hitting hard times it looks like it all hopes lie with Scott County this year.

 

Mike Glaser took over St. X in 1977. What he does has probably not changed much over the years. And the public schools won top class championships 10 out of 24 years between 1977 and 2000. But none since then. So the 'playing field' may be unlevel but it because of what Big 2 are doing or what the public schools, especially those in Jefferson are not? Are we going to continue to do dumb and stupid things because of the top class issue?
