I know you can't really gauge a team by playing common opponents or by viewing the scoring outcome, but Newport did not score on HC first team defense and Newport scored twice on NCC's first team defense. All of the mentioned teams were held to less than 100yrds of total offense with HC's first team defense in each game. HC was exposed against Conner and Beechwood and their coaches seemed to have improved those weaknesses. Not saying it is completely fixed, but I believe they have improved

Better defense? Against whom? Oldham, Lloyd, Newport, and Brossart? Come on. 12 wins combined for those 4.

I totally agree. Remember, this is the game when Morris didn't take one snap as QB for Cooper as they were trying the Sophomore so Morris could be RB. After this game they went back 100% to Morris as QB and they have swept 5A and shutout Campbell County. The first couple of games this year they only used Morris about half the snaps at QB, not saying they would have beat Ryle, etc.. but would have been better games.

Also, I believe AJ Branch was out this game with injury and he is Cooper's best WR and DB.

I believe it is hardly a stretch. To go with the argument you are making, the same thing has happened at HC. HC has made changes to both their offense and their defense, which has been very successful. It would be interesting to see the Cooper/Conner/HC matchups again

Hahaha. I agree with 1-3. 4-7 is debatable. 8-10 is a toss up. You can make a case for several teams in 8-10.

As far as the gaps go, I believe that they are right for the most part with exception to Highlands and Cov Cath. I believe that these two are very capable of beating one another. There is a gap after them with Beechwood and New Cath being close as well. After Beechwood/New Cath, the gap really starts to broaden. I would have really liked to see Campbell County play prior to the winning streak they went on to see the differences, because it appears they have improved significantly.
