ARGUMENT AGAINST (Trinity): Despite the outstanding on-field performances, it is very hard to block out that its playoff path could be the easiest of any team in the title discussion and that the team had to go out-of-state to build its case. By the end of the regular season, there will be nothing left for the team to prove - and that is a major letdown as most every other team in the national title discussion will see at least one challenge on its path to a state title. The team needs a lot of things to go in its favor to take home a national title.

Of course I'm pulling for the Rocks. Hopefully they can get the help they need with wins in Ohio. As well, the Ohio teams need to put up big wins against their opponents. I think that just being from Ky, and the Bluegrass not being noted for their football power, is another obstacle in their path. Go ROCKS

Before I even took time to read this I knew that it is Don Bosco's to lose. They are in the best position but trinity is in the 2nd best spot if they soundly beat Moeller and make sure they hammer all the in state teams in the playoffs.

I say if Trinity goes 14-0 and takes another 6A State Title, they should petition to play one more game. Start calling now and see if Don Bosco will play on Dec. 10. National Title game on National TV. Prime time baby. Even if the KHSAA doesn't let it happen, do it privately. Don Bosco is private and with the pocket books of the teams faithful, they can make this happen. C'mon get this done. I know way back when (1982), we (HHS) wanted to play Moeller (National Champs) after the season. We thought we could hang. Probably not though but wishful thinking. This would be very cool!

If Trinity beats Moeller and rolls through their opposition all the way for the state title, I believe that their chances are pretty good at playing for it.

Is it THAT important that Trinity be ranked no 1? Trinity is ranked no 2 in the country. No team from Kentucky has ever reached that plateau. Let's be pleased with what has been accomplished. IFF, we get to that point, I would like to see us petition for it....why not? There is plenty of money around (sponsorships, etc) to figure out the details. This could be a very cool thing some media outlet could pick up.....#1 -vs- #2.....in a warm environment, over winter break.....sounds pretty awesome to me.

 

NOW, before any of that can happen....let's beat Male....then off, then go after Moeller.....THEN the playoffs.

Noboby ever remembers No. 2 so it IS that important to be No. 1. If they end up No. 2, that would be great but wouldn't you love to say you played a game for No. 1. That would be cool.

Plus, Trinity would likely be sanctioned by the KHSAA and non-seniors could lose eligibility next year. I'd like to see it happen like everyone else, but it's not going to happen.

Heck, T might want to pull out of KY since the competition is elsewhere. Send a message to the KHSAA telling to fix it, or "we outta here"! LOL!!! Or at least until the well dries up.
