Stellman To Return

Featured Replies

Conner coach Tom Stellman, who said after the season he planned on retiring, changed his mind at the team's year-end banquet.

"I'm not done," he said this week.

Stellman led the Cougars to back-to-back undefeated regular seasons in 2003 and 2004 before dropping to 3-7 this season.

He said his possible retirement from Conner, one of Northern Kentucky's largest schools, became well known throughout the area's coaching ranks - a fact that made the last Northern Kentucky Football Coaches' Association meeting slightly uncomfortable for Stellman.

"They were all talking about what a great job it would be," Stellman said.

"I felt like I was alive at my own funeral."

How long has Stellman been in charge? Has he been there since Bob Lewis left?

I wonder if the new offensive coordinator talked him into it.

I think so.

Has he been there since Bob Lewis left?

I hope you had the correct amount of reverance when you typed a legend's name.

cshs, I wish you would have the correct amount of REVERENCE to page through a dictionary before talking about a legend. :ylsuper:

Ohhh, that hurts. Fair shot. I even thought about it for a second but got lazy.

Coach Lewis would be disappointed as well.

BTW, you're now on "the list".

I wonder if the new offensive coordinator talked him into it.

Who is the new OC?

Who is the new OC?

Time will tell.........

Or maybe he could've typed it into MS Word? ;)

I like Tom. He's a hilarious guy who doesn't take things too seriously. I'm glad he'll still be around. I know he still has at least 1 kid at Conner, So I'd imagine he'll be there until she is done with High School.

Who is the new OC?

Rumor has it, that it may be that guy from that small school in neighboring Kenton County.

Stellman became head coach after Joe Clark retired.....who followed Lewis.

The "they only won 2 games last year" quote to the young, naive Enquirer reporter was classic.

She, like Trevor, is an outstanding athlete. She's one of the top fastpitch players returning in NKY.

Wasn't he also the principal in "Lean on Me"?
