There is definitely no clear favorite. Although Ryle at this point, seems to be a favorite for most, I just can't put them as a clear favorite. The field is too close and no one is overly dominant. Even when their is a clear favorite, the past has shown it to still be somewhat unpredictable. For example in 2008 Boone Cty rolled SK at Simon winning by 35, but later in the year, in the play offs, SK beat Boone by a touchdown. In 2010, SK took Ryle into overtime, only to lose by three, a game that any team could have won, but just a few weeks later, Ryle dominated SK when most expected another nail biter. Many times these teams evolve, adjust, game plan or even just play bad. Point being, this thing is still up in the air and may not be decided until after Friday, Oct 21, the night that Ryle plays Dixie at Dixie.

As to the favorite, I lean towards Dixie because of Pike. With there being no clear cut favorite, I will take the great athlete to be the difference in getting his team to the top. No other 6A team has a standout player except Dixie with Pike so they are my favorite to win it despite not living up to expectations so far this year.

I think we're down to a 3 horse race between Dixie, Boone, and Ryle though I've heard SK has a shot if the fans start calling the plays from the stands. :ohbrother:

I agree that it will not be decided until Ryle visits Dixie on October 21. I think that there is a good possibility that all 4 NKY 6A teams win first round playoff games, too. So, there could well be rematches in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the playoffs.

I find it hard to believe the #4 is going to win a playoff game unless it's a really weak district they're up against.

Nothing could of changed the outcome of Friday's game in Independence. It was closer than it should have been.

Or do you think Boone is going to win a tie-breaker? Dixie needs a W this week against BW just in case 6A does go to a 3-way tie-breaker. It would most likely give them the tie-breaker.
