This Boone team 'Man handles" Highlands. And in 7 on 7,( I know, it's 7 on 7 but still) HHS toyed with Beechwood. Beechwoods lineplay must be impressive.

The Tigers do have some very good size and talent in the line. Mahorney has been starting at center for the freshman team since 7th grade. He is already nationally ranked as a long snapper. I believe he is the #1 ranked freshman long snapper in the country and is in the top 100 overall. Etler, Stokes, Arlinghaus and others are all big strong guys. Combs also is a big strong kid. The future looks good for the Tigers.

Voice, I saw the Boone player that was taken to the Hospital in the squad, his side was numb or something, but the squad was called again after I left, a possible spinal injury, any details on the second injury? Thanks!

What is Mahorney"s first name? And just how big is Beechwoods line?

 

Jackson Mahorney. As to size, I couldn't give you specifics. If I guess, I would say they have 3-4 guys that are 6' or over. Probably 6 or 7 guys at 185+. Not necessarily huge but good size with some thickness and good strength for young kids.

Hats off to Beechwood, they played a great game. Beechwood is well coached and played nearly mistake free football and they beat Boone in all phases of the game. They were really impressive.

 

Some of the Beechwood players that caught my eye were: Kyle Fieger, Brett Slusher, Jake Schmidt, Jonathon Stokes, Jackson Mahorney, and Brayden Combs. Nice play guys!

I agree Beechwood's 8th grade class could be world beaters.

Fieger, Slusher and Combs are 8th graders on Guru's list.
