Michigan 35 Notre Dame 31

Featured Replies

Brian Kelly is the reason why they had 5 turnovers last week, 3 inside the ten yard line. And then 4 turnovers this week, with another inside the 10 yard line? I didn't realize he was out there for those plays. I really don't get how you get he is just a mid major coach based on a season and two games.

Yes, its called preparation. You being a future coach, i would think you would know that. The team was not prepared at all against USF and weren't ready again tonight. ND is lucky Robinson isn't an accurate passer and the Michigan WR's didn't have all the drops or Michigan wins this game by 2 TD's +. You do realize ND was favored to win both these games this year don't you?

As far as the final score I don't see how it can be 35-31. That last play has to be a TD or safety doesn't it? What was the line on this game?

Robinson is a great sandlot QB, but he might be one of the worst passers I've seen at that level.

Very true. If he just continues to just throw passes up like he did tonight, they will be picked more times than not or at least incomplete.

What % of the blame for TOs goes to the head coach?

It looked like his knee hit short, so I don't think it was a touchdown. However if they rule it a fumble, then it would be a touchback not a safety. Since Michigan had control of the ball, it wouldn't be a safety it would have just been a touchback and Notre Dame ball.

You would be correct. I think ND was favored.

Yep. You are right. What was I thinking?

You're right. Brain fart on the safety comment.

You mean preparation by putting up over 500 yards total offense in both games, yet you say they were not prepared? Give me a break. You do realize if Notre Dame doesn't have three turnovers inside the 10 yard line in the first game that they probably win easily against USF. You do realize if they don't have 4 turnovers tonight, and another one inside the 10 that they win pretty easily tonight too. There is one reason and one reason only for why they lost and that is turnovers. It has nothing to do with being prepared, or anything like that. I could understand your argument if Notre Dame just looked terrible out there and weren't moving the ball or anything. However that is not true, in both games they have moved up and down the field. The only thing that has stopped them is theirselves and turnovers.

Which by the way you do realize if Robinson wasn't the QB, then Notre Dame would prepared even more for the pass. Their goal was to slow down Robinson, and make him beat them with the pass. Your whole statement about well if he was more accurate is way off base, because that is the reason why they wanted to make him beat them with the pass is because he is inaccurate. That is the game plan, and before you say anything about me coaching you probably need to know what your talking about but from the things I see you say on here I doubt you understand that. Trust me I have seen plenty of Notre Dame coaches over the years, and if they sucked I was right there saying they suck. I hated the guy after Lou Holts, didn't like Ty Willingham, Weis was ok but wouldn't go anywhere with him because he never did much with the defense. Brian Kelly can coach. If they just even cut those turnovers in half, then they are 2 and 0 right now. It comes down to turnovers not coaching, in these two games. You can't make runningbacks hold on to the ball, you can't make QB's not let the ball slip out of their hands on a pass, etc. It's not that hard to get man.

Now that D Rod is gone it feels good to say this again......

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nd had 5 turnovers, Michigan had 3. Not to big of a difference to overcome against a bad team.

2 3rd and 1's and 2 4th and 1's ND runs the same play and fails all 4 times. That is 100 % the coaches fault.

Pitiful defense overall. bK is on suicide watch and I know that doesn't hurt GT's feelings. Lol

Exciting 4th quarter, but awful defense for both teams puts me in the camp of poster above who wouldn't call this a classic.

Good to there. At that point, however, you are left with a debate of great conflict. There is no D in Brian Kelly...

Apparently the it is the coaches fault if a back can't hold on to the ball, or if a receiver doesn't turn his head to catch a ball, or if the QB has the ball slip out of his hands when throwing. That is all on the coach, and since that happened it means they were not prepared apparently...

I will say this to Eagle, if the turnovers keep happening at a drastic rate like they are the rest of the year. Then you can say something about coaching, because that is something I am sure they will be addressing more and more in practice. So if that keeps happening throughout the year, then you may have a point in he is not doing a good job in coaching. However right now when a team has 500 plus yards on offense the last two games, and would have won games easily if not for turnovers. Then I don't know how he can say the coach didn't have his team prepared, unless he just has an axe to grind with him.
