I've been debating back-and-forth on my Super Bowl pick. I've settled on the teams, but can't decide which to pick as the champion.

Super Bowl

San Diego Chargers def. New Orleans Saints

I think this one is a coin-flip pick, but my gut kept telling my San Diego. However, my severe unbelief in Norv Turner made it really difficult for me to actually pick them. We'll see. It is really tough to pick the NFL.

^Yeah, you're not biased FC.

I have a better shot at making it in the NFL then the Bengals do at winning 8 games.

The only bias would be thinking Dalton could do decent in his rookie year. If people actually look at the Bengals with a clear view, and look what they have. They are a team that does have some talent, the biggest question mark is QB. Which as I said if Dalton completely sucks which is possible, then yeah they probably only win 2 games if even that. For people to think that the Bengals only will win 3 games even if Dalton does decent, that is just letting your bias for hating the owner getting in the way. If Dalton can at least do decent and manage the game, then 8 games is certaintly possible when you look at everything. From the young talent on the team, to the easy early season schedule they have. Which that early season schedule might have gotten even easier depending if Manning plays. If he does not play, then the first 6 games of the year is not that hard at all. If they can do well during that stretch, it will give them confidence and a team with confidence is dangerous. It all depends on Dalton really, so I admit I am showing bias in thinking Dalton can do decent early and manage games. However if he does do that, then yeah 8 wins is very possible. If he sucks, then they will be lucky to win 2 games.

Bengals are likely to lose 5 within the division.

I can see 4, but not 5. I don't think they lose to the Browns this year, however there is a great chance that the Steelers sweep them and the Ravens too probably since Palmer is gone. Since the Ravens became the Ravens, the only time the Bengals have really beat the Ravens is when Palmer was the starter. Without him, they probably get swept this year by them.

I was thinking 6 possibly.

I asked this in another thread. When did the Browns become such a tough team, that people keep acting like they are? They have a new HC, new OC, new DC. Their offensive line is really hurting because of injuries. They still really don't have much at WR. McCoy is still a HUGE question mark at QB. Their defense just lost one of the best DC's in the league in Rob Ryan, and even with him they still were not the greatest. The new kickoff rule limits Cribbs for Kickoffs. Yet people are acting like the Browns are going to be so much better this year? They seem to have more question marks than the Bengals when it comes to the team they are putting on the field. The only advantage the Browns really have is that they have a GM, yet having a a GM means nothing for this year and what they have on the field.

They had more talent last year, and your hero CP throwing the ball, and the managed what 4 wins? No chance they win 8. None, zero, zilch, nada, not happening.

This team has an aging RB, a rookie QB, a 2nd year TE, a pretty much rookie WR corp, and a bad Oline. Then on defense, they lost the only thing close to a "star" they had in JJ, have no safety talent to speak of, and have a very young and unproven D line. Then you have a new OC, and an incompetent HC.

That adds to 8 wins FC? Seriously, no bias, you really feel that?

You say that like the Bengals have shown they are good enough to win games.

They had more experience, I would question more talent. You want to talk about aging players, well then you have to consider our two receivers last year as aging players. We had an OC who us as fans who don't even watch game tapes, knew what plays were coming almost every time. We had receivers who couldn't finish routes, or even run the right routes. Also receivers who wouldn't block either. This year at receiver we have talent yet again, but they are inexperienced, but they are hungry and will block and will run the right routes. They have a new OC who at least probably won't be as predictable. On defense we finally have Rey in the middle where he belongs, and just our whole linebackers core as whole is better. On the defensive line they are actually going with the younger talent who can put some pressure on the QB, and not the guys we started with last year. Yes losing JJ hurts, but if the D-line can actually put pressure on the QB like they should be able to then that will help out against the pass.

The big question mark comes down to QB, and how Dalton will do. If Dalton can do decent and at least manage the game then they could surprise people. If he can't do that, then they will flat out suck and there would be no arguing that.
