Well what makes you think Ryle shoud be ranked above Cov. Cath? I hope not just based on the scrimmage! Dixie started out as being the team to beat in NKY 6A and until that is proven different give CCHS credit..I do believe Dixie is overated and said it before the season even started.

I guess I care. Cov Cath wouldn't play Ryle this year, because of the last two beatings they took. Now they are ranked 2nd. Don't understand.

You know this to be fact, or just your conjecture? Is it possible that when Ryle scheduled a district game, a "bowl" game, and two Ohio teams in their first four weeks of the season, the scheduling didn't work out for the two teams? The Ryle/Cov Cath game has been in week one the last two years. When one team decides to switch things around, it's not always a sure bet that the other can accommodate the changes.

Fact.....Week three was scheduled early last year and was dropped by Cov.

Cooper and Tates Creek I believe..

So Ryle beat two 6A schools that are not expected to do much this year. CovCath beat two 6A schools very handily and one of them is/was supposed to be one of the top 6A schools in NKY.

Based on the opponents, I'd say the rankings are right.

And when they dropped, they said it was "because of the last two beatings they took"?

Working out a season schedule isn't necessarily an easy task - if you don't believe that, then just ask Boyle County, Harlan, Pike Central, Scott, or Trinity...they all are currently stuck with only 9 games scheduled this season. You could also add in contracts to that scenario. Cov Cath could have any number of previously contracted games (e.g. - LaSalle) that had to take precedence over the Ryle game.
