CCH would not hesitate at all to play Ryle this year. Ryle was fortunate last year to have their best team ever while CCH was down, and 2 years ago, maybe Ryle's 3rd best team ever while CCH was way down.

 

I hope you enjoyed the last couple years because after this year Ryle is really sliding off the map.

 

In their defense not saying I'm for one side or the other, but when you start going to Ryle's 1'st and 3'rd best teams ever, they haven't been around half as long as CCHS. Again no dog in this fight but let's not paint a picture that's as biased as the one you're trying to.

But CCH's 1's did not outplay Ryle's 1's - Ryle actually gained more yardage during the 1st 3 quarters but had 3 interceptions to CC's 1. Had this been a real game, when it was tied 21-21 late in the 3rd quarter and Ryle with the ball, you might remember that the Raiders ripped off 3 consecutive runs of 25, 12 and 11 yards to get a 1st and 10 at the CC 30. They tried a pass play on 1st and 10 that was intercepted and I can assure you that if it was the end of a real game, Travis Elliott would have jammed it down CC's throat and they would not have stopped him (Travis averaged 7 yards per carry in the scrimmage on 14 carries). So, Ryle could have "won" the scrimmage, but working on the passing game as they did all scrimmage was more important to the Ryle staff than "winning" the scrimmage by pounding Elliott. If you disagree with that, we simply agree to disagree. And, I'm happy with CC being ranked #2. What difference does it make?

Straight Shooter: I won't disagree with your statement at all about the 3rd quarter and the QB throwing the Int. Both teams did a lot that they might not have done in a real game and that is why it was a scrimmage.

 

Agreed, which is why the teams have scrimmages, honestly does it matter? Sure prides on the line but, NKY isn't a BCS bowl contender....

I guess I care. CovCath wouldn't play Ryle this year, because of the last two beatings they took. Now they are ranked 2nd. Dont understand.

BOK play nice, we all know Colerain is very,..... VERY good and I'm not sure but about one team could beat them this year; MAYBE.

CCH was asked to play Ryle and wouldn't. If you dont believe that ask the coach maybe he will tell you why. Im not bashing CCH just think right now they are over rated. I dont need a seeing eye dog to see Ryle controll that scrimmage.

I've read plenty of TOG's posts as well and he is their biggest cheerleader. It's moot, unless Ryle beats Highlands at the end of the year and CCHS is still ahead of Ryle. But who cares at this point...
