It was 35-0 at half.. Wow what's up in Independence???

Sounds like a couple of SK players may have sustained serious injuries. I hope they pull thru OK.

Heard that most of the kids played..

Any updates on who scored and played well?

Beau Hoge was outstanding tonite throwing the ball. On the money with both short and long balls. 2 seconds, 2 seconds is all the extra time he needed to be effective and see the field and make some very nice decisions. Beau struggled at times in the Trinity game but I could name a few Varsity QBs in NKY that would have struggled against the Rocks. He simply didnt have the extra or normal time to throw the football a week ago.

Daniel Kramer (sp) had a solid game defensively along with many others. I believe the Birds picked off SK 3 times and recovered 2 fumbles.

Offensively, the Birds relied on a nice mix of the run and pass incorporating lots of kids. If Beyhemer doesnt take his foot off the pedal then this one could have gotten really ugly. Highlands was a much faster and disciplined team tonite then SK.

Hope the two SK kids are ok. The concussion came from a big time hit by one of HHS LB. That kid wreck havoc all nite on SK offense.

Kudos to HHS coaches for backing off them Neers.

Name?

Good for Beau and the boys.....Amazing how after playing a high quality team like Trinity that some of the Armchair Qb's in town think they should express their feelings about who should and shouldn't be playing certain positions. I would take Beau's knowledge of the game before half the people on this site that think they could play the position better including myself.

The Birds dominated this game from the opening possession. Injuries or not this game would not have been any closer than it was. Hoge did play well, but do they not have a backup QB that could have taken snaps at the end of the game? Nice to see everyone get into the game for several plays each in the last quarter. Thought Andrew Abner was impressive catching the football, Pat Schoepf, Brady Murray, Griffin Urlage, Jake Noe and Josh Watson were impressive running the football. Daniel Kramer, Bailey Schell and D.J. Mills were three players that sort of stuck out to me defensively last night. Line play was very effective and efficient both offensively and defensively.

In the games I saw last year, Drew Houliston was the only quarterback that took snaps. I don't know why they don't use a second quarterback.
