I was thinking the same thing about tickets prices.

$10 (presale)or $12(gate) to see a game at Dixie or any other high school site.

Unless they are going to play the game at Nippert or play a team that they would not normally play, keep the tickets prices at $6.

Dixie has one of the nicest sports complexes in NKY.

They were originally considering Thomas More College for these games. Not sure why they chose Dixie instead. It would be nice if they had some remote lots set-up and shuttles running in or even shuttles form SK, BW and CC.

Doubleheaders do not work in NKY. No school has enough stands and parking to handle the crowds.

 

If the Skyline games cannot be at UC then there should not be Skyline games. My son was fortunate enough to play in one years ago at UC and it was a nice event for them. There is nothing new and exciting about the game at Dixie that wouldn't be there anyway between these teams.

I agree completely. This event has gotten out of hand. They're now taking regular scheduled games and making them 'Showdown' games just to make a buck. These events do nothing for the kids unless they're at Nippert. I would like to see them just go back to the 5 games at Nippert and go back to matchups not normally seen. Pair up NKY and Cincy teams, or Cincy teams with Dayton, Columbus, or Indy teams.

 

As for ticket prices, I don't think $10 is bad for 2 games. Yeah, it's a little steep for students, but if schools can get creative, they can reduce the cost for students.

Yeah, if you like bricks. Too many bricks and not enough seats. As much as I disagree with uk#1 fan, the hayride comment is a shot at our community that is cheap. Especially from someone with such a rightous avatar as yours.

You must be slamming Beechwood on this one. The only person with a big farm around Independence is the Daniels and their youngest kid played for Beechwood a few years ago!
