St. Xavier 35 Simon Kenton 0 (Scrimmage)

Featured Replies

This isn't a down year for X. it's only considered a down year to fans because you all don't see high profile players as usual, but i guarantee that X has a boatload of players who can start for anyone in the state

That sounds more like what I expected. St. X should still battle for the district title this year.

Assuming they win the district, they should battle for the state title

Good thing for SK this is a "down year" for X! But, someone told us SK was not going to lose, not even a scrimmage, this year. Hmmm

 I remember reading the same thing! I heard it was ugly!

X had a sophomore rb rush for over 100 with 2tds

By the way, in regards to this coming scrimmage at Simon Kenton, I look for the Pioneers to emerge victorious. St. X. is drastically down in talent this season and will be very fortunate to avoid a losing season record. Despite what some other Tiger supporters have said, there is no one on this year's squad who will even get a D1 look. This team will have to scratch and claw its way through every game.

You need to drink some more KoolAid Oxnard because there was no scratching and clawing going on last night. You are probably right that it will be necessary with their upcoming schedule but even the teams in the past you felt were so much more talented would have to scratch and claw against Riverdale, Moeller, Trinity. And not sure where you are getting your scouting report on the team you profess to be loyal to, but I know for a fact that George Stone is getting D1 looks and there are at least 3 other kids getting recruited by 1AA teams. More importantly, they don't play like superstars but like a TEAM. In the past, the superstars haven't always helped us by being in the wrong position so they could do "their own thing" and consequently td's have scored against us. You won't find any rebels on this team just highly motivated, disciplined and yes, talented players.

I agree. I hate to see those poor kids have to dress that way. Maybe I can garner some contributions from folks "over my way." They were great pics.

lol....We do have really awesome brand new Nike uniforms in green, white, and Gold. The white mesh ones in the pics were our practice uniforms because after all it was a scrimmage. Keep you money Jim, you need it to support your causes over there.

If they win the district, they should coast to the state title. It's getting out of the district that will be the challenge.

I'm sure they are very cool. Personally I would have kept the old uniforms and gotten a really awesome brand new Nike Coach.

saintxmom6 a just a few sincere words of advice for you if choose to listen.

Oxnard comes off a little rough around the edges. He does have a way of saying some things that will get under your skin (been there, done that, bought the t-shirt.):lol: He really is a very kind, caring and "in the know" X fan.

As a former parent of a program try not to get sucked into what is posted on here. Most are just fans wanting to state their opinion. SOME don't think before they post because they are so caught up in their team. When I first joined BGP. I did not like Oxnard, RockPride or Gametime AT ALL!! Today I respect them and consider them my friends. Again...just my two cents so you can take it or leave it.

I hope St. X has a great year and look forward to watching them play.

They were practice jerseys.
