Here is how this works. Either marijuana or alcohol will be legal but ONLY one can be legal. Also one HAS to be legal. So if you were to choose between the two which one would you choose?

I vote alcohol simply because I have more use for it. I don't have any problem with both being legal.

Marijuana, see Larry Mahoney. (and others) But can Mj put a person in that kind of state? I don't know, never had either.

I have to admit, your answer was the one I was most looking forward to seeing. Thank you for responding.

In regards to your question, marijuana can help to cause automobile accidents though personally I feel I'd rather be on the road with stoned drivers as opposed to drunk drivers.

I would selfishly pick alcohol since I drink but do not smoke pot. But if I'm looking at society as a whole then I might be inclined to choose marijuana.

Agreed.

Crazy talk. Neither are good options and both can have deadly consequences.

I should have added that I'm by no means advocating either.

But in regards to the subject, a lot of studies are showing texting and driving is just as problematic but nobody is campaigning we ban cell phones. I wholeheartedly disagree that the potential for automobile accidents should even slighty factor into banning alcohol, marijuana, cell phones, Nyquil, etc.

Many states have a ticketing offense for talking on a cell phone while driving. And many more have a no texting while driving ban.

I said alcohol because it's what I prefer and well that's about the only reason I've got. Call me selfish.
