What if an alcoholic beverage were invented (beer preferably) that used marijuana in the brewing process? I'm looking for a loophole with the dilemma put forth and I think I'm on to something..........................

I'm not talking about charges for abusing them. I'm referring to the people who want to ban marijuana or alcohol completely because of their risk while driving. To be equivalent it would be like someone saying, using cell phones while driving causes accidents so we need to ban cell phones completely."

Marijauna is not illegal to stop people from driving under it's influence. Driving a car has nothing to do with why it is banned.

When did I say it did? But when the legalization of marijuana gets brought up that is an oft cited reason why it should remain illegal (a search I don't feel like doing in these forums will verify this). When there are wet/dry votes you can count on someone bringing up the "driving under the influence" argument as a reason why a certain area should continue to remain dry.

Maybe, but I would say the main plank in the platform for keeping mj illegal is the health issues, and the premise it leads to harder stuff. Also I have a hard time believing that a guy that drinks a couple of beers is more impaired than someone who took a couple of hits off the ole bong pipe.
