Enquirer Releases First NKY Coaches Poll

Featured Replies

I would put Dixie at 2 and Ryle at 3. Dixie has alot more experience returning on defense this year. And they look extremely fast to the ball.

Too bad they ducked Highlands.

I'd throw Beechwood right in there.

Dixie may be a bit of an unknown right now given they played without Pike, but they are certainly a top 10 NKY team.

It would suprise me if SK goes .500 on those top 10. SK has a lot of issues to address and the line can not block everyone.

I know it's the coaches poll, but NCC has to be ranked above Dixie, with or without Pike.

Bellevue came away with a win on Saturday, but not a stellar performance. I don't think it boosts them into the top 10.

Beechwood should be higher until someone proves themselves to be more deserving.

jmo.

I agree with that. IMO if they played Bellevue or Holy Cross, they would beat them soundly.

Hers is how I think it should look..

1. Highlands

2. CovCath

3. Ryle

4. NCC

5. Beechwood

6. Dixie

7. Simon Kenton

8. Holy Cross

9. Boone Co.

10. Conner

I agree with Your Bellevue opinion but Holy Cross will suprise you. The next few weeks will tell more on Holy Cross. To put much stock in this poll after one week is crazy. Give it three and it will look better.

Early season questions:

Can Dixie stop anyone on defense?

Not so far.

Dixie gave up a lot of points to a AA team. They were only missing one person. That isn't enough to fix giving up all of those points.
