The tall young man was shadowing with Pouncy at Holy Cross today.

 

I have just learned as well from one of the player's parents that Antonio Campbell is joining the Indians. They have a scrimmage at Lou. Male on Saturday, I guess we will see if he suits up.

 

This IMO makes them a serius threat to challenge for the title. I dont think they shoot well at all and they will need to get that fixed but they have so many athletes that they can make up for it with flying all around the court getting steals and layups. Avery, McClendon, Burger and Campbell are a solid core in the starting lineup. Throw in Fuller, Pouncy, Fortner, Thompson and they will be a decent team. They will have to run and press the entire game though.

I believe their district is Covington, Independence, Taylor Mill and Clifton.

Is it a requirement?

Obviously not a requirement and I dont expect every kid to live in LA. However, I just know they have always had studs from Independence, Cvg etc. Same can be said for other Catholic schools though. Good program, always has been. Nice to see their football team achieving success as well.

Yes, but I dont know of any that actually reside outside the city to be quite honest. No basketball players do I know that for a fact. On the gridiron i am not familiar with any either. I know back in the day it was not uncommon but that is going back 20-25 yrs.

You get my point. CCH is in Park Hills. Not many PH kids there - lots of Villa Hills/Ft Mitchell/Edgewood kids. Kids from Cincinnati can play sports for KY teams as well. It's happened at a few schools previously.

The Massie's live in Taylor Mill. I have known many kids from Taylor Mill area go to Cov Cath in the past.

I would love to know what HC does to get kids so effectively through the KHSAA eligibility requirements. It seems like every year they have a kid transfer from another Greater/Cincy school who has played varsity at their previous school. Last year it was McClendon, this year it's the Pouncy kid, and now it sounds like another transfer is coming in. Let's face it if this were Highlands, CovCath or even Holmes there would be a much bigger outcry.

 

I am for kids going to school wherever they feel they will get the best HS experience, however it does seem that for whatever reason HC never seems to have a problem getting through the KHSAA microscope.
