Take it fwiw, but I spoke with someone today that said Sean is eligible and has been practicing with the team.

DeSean Petersen is not playing from what I gather.

This would be correct...

Anyone know how Holmes did in their scrimmage v Colerain yesterday?

Have heard freshman James Bolden will see a lot of varsity time this year and is indeed a VERY GOOD player.

Very thin but he is a legit 5'11-6'

One of my favorites! FAST! And always looking for opportunities to improve.

When i left the game with about 4 minutes left, Holmes was up 8 points, Colerain matched up with Holmes and both teams used a lot of players, Rice was very impressive and he has taken over in pratice as the leader, Coston did not come into the game until late but hit back to back 3"s , Palmer also hit a couple of 3"s, Engelman had a lot of rebounds, It seems Holmes will be very deep at guard but after Rice and Knox, Holmes becomes very small, should be another exciting year to watch the Dogs.

Holmes is my pick for top spot in the 9th. Walton scrimmaged Holmes and Dixie. Holmes was by far a more complete team. It's preseason but I was impressed with Holmes. Dixie will miss Pike.

I'm hearing a lot of rave reviews about this kid. Look forward to checking him out.

Heard Potter, Covington, and Bolden would all three likely be playing up with Potter likely seeing varsity time.

Holmes frosh open the season with Highlands this Thursday 12/1. The 3 boys listed above carried their 8th grade team last year - will be interesting to see who dresses on Thursday against the Birds.

I could be wrong, but I'd be surprised if Bolden sees any freshman time this year. From everything I've heard, he will see regular varsity mins and most likely start JV. Haven't heard much else about Potter and Covington but I'd imagine both will be playing JV as well. I will find out tonight at the Holmes/Scott game.
