I like Massett here but if you go with Chapman he has to have a very short and I mean very short leash and Massett has to be ready to go.

To me this is a totally different situation than last weekend with the Cards. They had Pujols, Holliday and Berkman coming up. Overbay, Jones and Wood are not Pujols, Holliday and Berkman.
July 20, 201115 yr Author Good job by Chapman. I'm sure his heart was not beating nearly as fast as last weekend given the situation because chances are he has never faced these guys and probably knew very little about them.
July 20, 201115 yr Author We have argued and argued a lot about how Dusty has used this pitcher and that pitcher but imo it is all about the situation and not near as much about the numbers. I have no problem using Chapman in certain situations. I just don't think he is ready for the big time situations quite yet.

July 20, 201115 yr Author Casey just made a good point about hitting coaches. I hope everyone was listening. George said the hitting and pitching coaches are the hardest working coaches on the staff. I know some of you don't have much faith in either but I do. Casey said that the best coaches are those that ask you "what do you do best" and then work on that in the cages with you.
