Zach Hester, if healthy, will be one of the top 5 linebackers in the state and arguably one of the top defenders in the state as well. It is highly likely he will finish on the all state team as a linebacker again. He will be a three year starter at linebacker and was arguably the leader of the defense last year even with Dawson and Cook on the field. He normally gets the call from the sideline and sets the defense up. He has the physical tools and IQ to play and succeed at a high level. One of my favorite Zach Hester memories is from last year against Christian County when he forced them to go three and out by himself by making every tackle that series. One was a sack on Anthony Hickey. Truly an impressive set of downs I will never forget.

 

He has an offer from the Naval Academy and has unofficially visited UK and Arkansas I believe. As Harry Doyle said he is truly a do-it-all player and he will be counted on to be The Man for the Rebels this year.

 

Also, he is a great kid from a great family that I am honored to know. I wish Zach nothing but the best in his future and that he has a healthy season. As long as he is healthy he will shine.

You have to look at who generated the list. Players that are on D1 radar and that are hitting the camp circuit get on lists like this. My guess is Jude isn't going to multiple camps around the midwest so he isn't going to be noticed. Cohorn is traveling with Pike and hitting camps so he is visible to the scout.com crowd.

True. But we love high school football in the state of Kentucky also and we have our opinions as well. It's obvious that all who have replied care and that is the fun of BGP.

What are you talking about?:confused: Someone puts out an opinion article that lists the top 5 players in a couple categories and you don't want us to complain about it? If we didn't question the people that write these articles then why would we have BGP? We would just pay GURU to send us a letter every week telling us what we should think. LOL... Trust me, between him and RAM they'd be correct most of the time anyway. But that's exactly the point of a site like this. We can listen to the guys and gals that really know the sport better than us and occasionally speak up and say "Uh, I don't think so!!!" That's what we do here and we love it. If you say I disagree with that comment then you better be ready to bring an argument to the table. If you make a statement on here and you can't back it up then you better bring your salt and pepper to season your crow, because you will be eating it. I made an argument on this topic and I feel it's a solid one but it's all in fun and it's exactly why we pay to have this site.

Jude was the first missing name that made me think "what the heck?" Can't see him not on the list of playmakers.

They have no 40 times, have no list of any offers, nothing really. So I'm not exactly surprised that he's not at all high on their list.

Jude, I love you, I don't know if me and guru would be right most of the time or not, but I will definitely agree with you here. The first name I missed on this "list" was J.J. Jude. Then I missed Quick. I realize Quick is not as senior and apparently this is a senior only list. I can live with that. But, I can't see it without Jude. I know that many will say this is a list of "Scout" registered players and I guess that is OK, but if you have to be registered with Scout that really taints the list as far as I'm concerned. That is the main reason I hate these kind of lists. It leaves me wondering if they are really the top 10 players, or are they the top 10 players that paid to be the top ten players. It's really a list that means nothing because all the players were not considered.

I only see 3 guys out of all 20 that I would consider NKY, unless you want to include Scott County and Mason County as NKY.
