Game over for the newbies. Kalia bit off more than she could chew. Lawon is volunteered to evict himself. Shelly will get caught playing both sides at some point. Adam will be a victim of the numbers game as time goes by. The only chance they have is if Brendon/Rachel and Jeff/Jordan begin to plot against each other too soon.

Poor Lawon didn't realize what he had done ...till it was too late.

Show is completely rigged and they've lost a fan because of it. I'll finish watching this season just because I've invested time in it already.

 

Completely pointless twist. They bring Brendon back so he can spend one more week with Rachel, then he gets sent backing again the next week? Why do that?

The answer is now as it was during the America's Choice during their original season - to help Jeff and Jordan. If one of their block wins HOH, then it really keeps the power on their side and really makes them tough to beat every single week. If they don't, and Brendon is indeed the target, then that's another week it keeps the target off of the golden couple.

 

I really don't see how the target wouldn't be Jeff or Jordan. They're so much better liked than Brenchel, and essentially have Adam but especially Shelly in their pocket. No one has more than grudging loyalty to Brenchel. Even one of their staunchest allies has deserted them (Porsche). But if they do go for Brendon again, I don't see him and Rachel making the same mistake again. If a POV comes their way, they'll save him because Rachel can absolutely not handle the game alone.

I think it’s all about ratings and controversy. At this point I wouldn’t put anything past the producers. I’ve seen and read during past seasons where house guests have hinted that producers have tried to sway the HGs one way or another during diary room discussions. Who knows, maybe they helped push Lawon or Kalia into this week’s outcome? Maybe that is a bit farfetched, but I do find it interesting that they don’t announce what or when the twist is until a week or so before it happens. Maybe that is by design to keep people guessing or maybe they can pick and chose the twist and when it occurs to suit the direction that they want the show to go.

 

Of course, maybe everything is on the up-and-up and my opinion of Brendon and Rachel is not the same as the majority of Americans. :idunno:

Yea, Danielle looked totally shocked and discouraged after last night’s outcome. Can’t blame her though, she must be thinking that she doesn’t have a chance when it seems to be rigged in Brenchel’s favor.

Maybe America is just so obsessed with Jeff & Jordan (I liked them on their season, but Jordan is useless and Rachel is rubbing off on her way too much this season), that they're stupid enough to think putting Brendon back in the game is going to help them. In reality they're the first two that will turn on J&J as soon as presented with an opportunity to do so. When it was Brendon vs. Jordan on the block, Brenchel was throwing J&J under the bus the entire week.

I think everyone is underestimating Dani. She's far and away the best strategic player in the house. She can't be blamed for the Lawon disaster, because Kalia was hellbent on nominating someone from her own side to try to suck up to J&J.

But that's the point. She is a strong player, but has no strong allies. Dominic and to a far lesser extent Cassie would have been a huge boon for Danielle.

 

And her strength of late has been in competitions, not any real behind the scenes strategy. She has only been an at-risk and in play player for two weeks, now three. She won the HOH her first week, and her only ally at the time Kalia won it the second week. Danielle proved unable to control Kalia and thus Kalia made a mistake that had the potential to kill Danielle. With the right nomination, it would have been Brendon going against Rachel for the right to come back, canceling out the effect. Then if Danielle or Porsche wins HOH, they pick off another veteran to bust it down even further. Instead, it's essentially the same as it was two weeks ago, minus Lawon.

 

The real test for Danielle comes if/when someone from the alliance wins HOH. Then we'll see how good her game is.

Well, that's not really a good test of them turning on them. At that point, of course they're going to try to do everything they could to stay together in the game. I'd say the only reason Jeff & Jordan didn't do likewise is because they knew they didn't have to. Had it been Jeff on the block post-veto and not Jordan, I think you'd have seen a different approach. But when the alternatives are Adam & Shelly in the "who will turn on them first" game, obviously Brenchel will be the ones to do it first. I think Shelly practically wants to hand J & J the prize.

I actually think the person in the best shape in the house is Porsche. No one really even realizes she's there. With Brenchel and J&J going after Dani and Kalia for the next how many weeks and vice versa, Porsche, Shelly, and Adam will most likely be sitting pretty for another 3-4 weeks.

True, unless any of them come down with a case of Lawonicitis and volunteer to be evicted.

While by no means do I doubt the possibility that Big Brother or any other reality TV show could be rigged, perhaps the vote was on the up and up. Brendon / Rachel do have some fans. Fans of Jeff / Jordan might have voted for Brendon if they though it was best for keeping the target off of each others back. Anyone that hates Dani had incentive to vote Brendon back in as well. From what I understand Cassi, and Dom were both pretty popular so they might have split the anti-Brendon vote.

 

But while I woudn't say it is impossible that Brendon won America's vote, the outcome was certainly in line with what would have given the producers the best ratings. This is really no different that the coup d'etat Jeff won with America's vote in a previous season.

I had no idea that Shelly graduated from EKU. Kinda makes me root for her now.
