For example, I lost no money in the Enron scandal. Would you agree that it is now fine with you that I support laws to make that illegal (like marriage that is not between a woman/man) and it is based on my brand of morality.

That is the problem with so many opinions. They LOVE to judge people on throwing their brand of morality around when they disagree with it but fine with it when they agree with it.

Your morality should be limited to you and how you raise your family. Beyond that it shouldn't be forced no anyone else.

Come on, LBBC. Being in a loving home two parents, gay or otherwise, is substantially better than abandonment by a parent. Not even close.

Rereading my post, I think that is what I was implying. Abandonment of a parent is worse than having a gay parent.

 

While I can't say for sure because of had neither, that would be my guess.

I will tell you this: There are heterosexual "parents" that have children that they ignore, never wanted, barely tolerate, flat out neglect in all possible ways, torture, abuse, kill.....any combination of the above.

 

A gay couple is choosing to bring a child in their life, just as are any other adoptive family. They're screened, and face even more scrutiny than a heterosexual couple. It's expensive to adopt. If a gay couple is going through this process, I feel good about the devotion, care, love and involvement that couple will give the child/children. A child needs love, attention, discipline and guidance. It doesn't have to be with two parents. It doesn't have to be delivered by heterosexuals. The beautiful thing about true love is....it's blind. What matters is the relationship between the child and the parents. With the right, loving, strong relationship, the difficulties they'll face about the fact that their parents are gay will be minimized by communication and honesty.

You don't have to. A Civil Ceremony is always an option for anyone with a Judge presiding.

 

Some pastors and "marriage chapels" don't require counseling.

I agree with Woodside, to a point, the one point I do not agree with is the disgusting comment. If I do not understand or agree with something I don't say it's disgusting.

 

But as he stated, two males getting together or getting married is between THEM! It does not effect other people! How is it going to "hurt" others marriage? The DOMA is a JOKE! Maybe two guys can have a little bit better divorce rate? It can't be any worse than the 50%+ divorce rate now!

 

I find it interesting that a movie or TV show or whatever that shows two females going at it, most guys are all up in it, but if it is two guys their views change 100%! Personally I do not care too much for PDA, and I see a lot of heterosexual people doing a lot of that, so I guess it shouldn't bother me when I see two guys.
