Everyone has to earn what they get. No one deserves more of an opportunity just because they have lived somewhere longer. In basketball especially, 99.9% of the players at some point lose playing time to a better player. For some it happens in 7th grade. For some it as a freshman. For others it is when they get to high school varsity. After that, only the elite of the elite get to keep playing.

If they are going to do it they better try this season because after this year the Colonels will lack size on the post.

I'm hearing really good things about the Niehaus kid who was only an 8th grader last year and pegged some JV time at the end of the season. He's one to keep an eye on.

He has nice size and is a very nice player. Is he for sure going to be attending Dixie or is he still looking into Holy Cross?

I've heard there's a few kids that played this past season that may not be on the roster this year if all of the transfer rumors come to fruition.

I can see local teams dropping Dixie from their schedule. Only playing district games.

That's way more than an exaggeration.

I'm only aware of 1 transfer at this time (Fox) the subject of this thread. McCormick would make 2 if that comes to fruition.

 

The 4 returning starters all attended TFMS which feeds Dixie's program.
