This morning at UofL, during my AP Chemistry conference, I realized that another person in the room was a BGP member that I had corresponded with here before. I was pleased to have the opportunity (and four more days of that opportunity).

 

Where have you had the pleasure (or displeasure) of meeting other BGPers, to your surprise?

Not exactly a "meeting" but PP92 discovered that we sat RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER at the Sweet 16 this year.

Molly Malone's during the USA/Ghana World Cup Match. My friends and I were seated at a table right next to TheOldGuy and his family. About halfway through the game I realized who he was due to the Columbus Crew gear he was sporting. Really nice guy.

How did this come about?

 

My nephew had been taken to the ER and it was late at night. Was sitting in the ER waiting room with my family & there was a husband, wife, & teenage girl sitting there as well. The Dad was wearing a Campbell County sweatshirt & the teenage girl was on crutches (I think she was a freshman), if I remember right. Got into a conversation with them, since our team (Bracken County...my niece is the starting PG) had just played Campbell a couple of weeks prior & since Randy Parker knows no strangers (:lol:). We got to talking about basketball and such when he brought up BGP & we both mentioned that we were posters on here. He had a good basketball mind and we had a very lengthy conversation because both of us had to wait quite a while. Seemed like very good people.

Bought a car and the finance manager said to me you're paNDA aren't you. Not unusual for me but I was out in Tri-County (Sharonville Ohio) at the time. One of the problems with being me, and there are many, is that everyone in NKY knows who I am but I know very few BGP members in person. Maybe my camera gives me away! So much for annonimity.

Her dad made mention of "The Old Guy" who's always in the stands at all of Cov Cath's games. His comment got me to talking, found out that her dad was a member, and I caved and fessed up to my handle :lol:
