HammerTime
It's looking more and more like the Red are a team with occasionally explosive but inconsistent offense and occasionally outstanding but inconsistent pitching. Combined they look more and more like a .500 team--give or take 5 games. Or the pitching has gotten a lot healthier than it was when they were struggling. Mainly Cueto and Homer for a very short time.

UKMustangFan
Brewers and Reds really need to take control while Albert is out. Yep. Will also be interesting to see how this impacts the All-Star voting. Votto trailed Albert by roughly 300,000 votes at the last update. Could he surge ahead? SSC
Or the pitching has gotten a lot healthier than it was when they were struggling. Mainly Cueto and Homer for a very short time. Which was my point the entire time. You could see where they might be able to get better pitching, mainly by being heatlhy. They don't have an answer in LF or at SS in the orginazation or we would have seen it by now. The problem is they have 2 or 3 spots in an 8 man lineup that are terrible offensively this year. They've scored 3 or fewer runs in their games for half of the games for a month to a month and a half yet a lot of people are saying they are fine offensively. If they don't make a move for at least one spot in the order they will finish very close to .500 IMO.

Just speculating here, but maybe there's a good chance the game tonight could be stopped once it starts. Perhaps Dusty doesn't want to take a chance on wasting Cueto tonight. AverageJoesGym
A stiff neck appears to be the reason Cueto is not pitching tonight. Turning around to watch the ball fly out of the park could help loosen it up....the Yankees get a huge percentage of their runs via the homerun.
